TPG has its own manned guarding division which is covered under the SIA approved contractors scheme, all of its security officers are licensed and have done additional training required over and above that of licensing requirement. The manned guarding operation is complaint with both the European loan working and time directives insuring that its officers have communication to our 24 hour control room, we ensure they have adequate cover from support supervisors; they are all issued with uniform, wet weather equipment and PPE which includes helmet, boots, high visibility jackets, gloves and eye glasses. They are all trained specifically for the task of securing and keeping secure construction sites; the training package is unique to TPG and is not available to other security companies.

Part of the service we offer to our clients is that of key holding and alarmed response. If your system should go down from i.e. power failure, the service of a security officer will be provided via one of our support vehicles. (In normal circumstances a security officer will not be allowed on site if power is not supplied). TPG can overcome this, by ensuring that our security officers have adequate welfare facilities were by we have specially adapted vehicles fitted with welfare facilities.

Security Screening

BS7858 2004 was superseded on the 1st January 2007 by BS7858 2006, these standards are the basic security screening (vetting) standards that are required to ensure that if a security officer does not perform his duties correctly, and an incident occurs thus leading to negligence on his employer’s behalf and a claim being made via the companies insurance. If the vetting has not been done or has been done incorrectly or the security company does not have a competent certificated (i.e. passed the vetting course) , the companies insurance will be deemed by the insurance provider NUL AND VOID, this may in some circumstances lead to the construction companies insurance also being held NUL AND VOID
