TPG security systems are monitored from our in house BS5979 cat II monitoring station. We do not monitor other installer’s projects ensuring our clients receive a first class service. This is one of the provisos of receiving a URN from the police service. Confirmed alarms are a requirement to ensure that they act as a first responder to any project covered by remotely monitored CCTV. Part of the spec for BS5979 is that the monitoring station has its own UPS and sustainable generator; it also has to have various systems in place like lone worker, smoke, fire, intruder and access egress alarms. TPG monitoring station is fully compliant and certificated with all of these. We use a secure system unique to the group which ensures our lines are monitored, similar to redcare which gives immediate alarm activation if a line goes down. The staff who monitor the system all hold SIA CCTV operators licences, so that they can log into the systems proactively and not just wait for alarm signals to come into the control room ensuring that integrity checks and patrols can be provided.
